Emily first started caring for babies when she was 13 years old, and that interest led her to later pursue a degree in child development at California Polytechnic University. Over the years she has worked as a nanny, au pair, camp counselor, child care teacher and preschool director. When she rediscovered her love of newborns through this work, and then discovered the exciting opportunity to help new parents as a Postpartum Doula, she was eager to expand her role. She trained as a Postpartum Doula with CAPPA, and as a Certified Lactation Educator through UCSD. Emily enjoys supporting families through this major transition, and watching them gain confidence and thrive.
Emily was born and raised in beautiful Encinitas, and enjoys spending time in nature hiking and camping, watching musical theater, reading good books, learning how to cook, and traveling as much of the world as she can!
